February Blues

It seems "real" winter is over now.  The fluffy, white new snow falling in the cold, crisp air is over for the season.  Now everything is wet and slushy and dirty as winter starts to melt away.  This is the worst time of the year.  I love winter, and I love spring, but I hate this in-between time.  To perk myself up tonight, I was looking back at some old photos with sunshine and dandelions.  This one was taken early last May.  I can't believe how little Mica looks!  It's amazing how quickly children change.

And then, because I have lots of work to do and I'm the world worst procrastinator, I decided to play a little.  I gave the pic a vintage feel, added some texture, and topped it off with a grunge border.  It's different for me, but I quite like it.  I'd love to hear what you think, so don't forget to leave a comment!

Snow Falling

Those of you who know me personally know that I LOVE snow.  I love how it makes everything look so clean and white.  I love how it softens the sounds all around.  I love when it's really quiet outside and you can actually hear the sound of the snowflakes landing..  And I love how each individual snowflake is perfectly unique - just like people.

October Walk

It was a beautiful, sunny day late in October when Colton and I decided to go for a walk.  Mica was with Grammy, so it was just the two of us.  We grabbed some sweaters and our cameras and headed down to the Falls to see what we could see.

River Water

Just a few more from our Saturday drive.

On the way home we stopped at this pretty spot on the river.  My husband helped me climb down the bank to the water - I wasn't prepared to be scaling steep slopes in my girly shoes, but I'll do what I have to do to get the shot!  I made him carry the camera because he's much more sure-footed - if I fell down and broke my leg I'd survive, but if I fell and broke my camera I'd be devastated!

My husband is awesome - he fished this lone red leaf out of the water...
